Being raised in South Florida, the beach was my playground. It was this intoxicating, wondrous place where I could imagine and discover and play. My parents took us all the time - almost every weekend. I remember playing in the surf and mangrove trees from early morning until the sun was setting, almost drunk on ocean water. There is something very pure and humbling about the ocean, and I wanted to share that with my son. It was one of the most beautiful weekends our little family has had together, and I'm sure it's the first of many that the summer has in store for us. I wanted to pass something onto my son, and without even being aware of it, a Kresse tradition has now become a Lubin tradition. I couldn't be happier.
So many followers of His Middle Name have asked me for Sutton updates, so here is what you've been waiting for! This weekend was Sutton's first trip to the beach, and it truly was a magical weekend. The weather was perfect: the sun was shining bright, the air was salty and smelled of coconut oil and Sutton seemed to enjoy all the attention he garnered for his sweet smile and Phillies hat (gotta represent)! It was wonderful to stroll along the boardwalk and eat cotton candy and drink fresh made lemonade while our son curiously took in all the sights and sounds.
