Preemie Prints (http://preemieprints.blogspot.com/) is a labor of love and the brain child of Amber Collier, a preemie mom herself to twin girls. A non profit organization, Preemie Prints helps make the NICU journey a little gentler by connecting past and present NICU families for support. Preemie Prints also offers helpful services such as free information, newsletters, care packages and complimentary NICU and NICU Grad photography sessions. Because preemie parents are rarely prepared for the challenges of premature birth, these simple yet much needed services offer practical and emotional support. And if you’re the parent of a NICU grad, don’t fret – their services stretch beyond the NICU. Preemie Prints offers support aimed at decreasing health risks such as isolation, acute stress disorder and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). This service has been healing to me and my family in more ways than one, and I have even had the pleasure of getting to know Amber personally through email and the Preemie Prints Facebook page. She is a humble and dedicated preemie advocate, and I encourage you to get involved and learn more about their services.
In the meantime, here are a few sneak peeks of our Preemie Prints photography session. Our Preemie Prints photographer, Claire of Claire Bunn Photography, is an amazing talent and I am so thankful we were on the receiving end of her gift. The Lubin family has found a kindred spirit in Claire and these photos will be treasured forever!
