I just wanted to update the His Middle Name family about our blessed day with our sweet Sutton Matthew: he was baptized today! Any preemie parent knows why we waited this long to baptize our son, as those first months of life are spent in the NICU and the months following are spent being the product of an overprotective "mama bear." But to be honest, Brad and I also needed to be in a deeper place within our own walk through faith. We didn't want Sutton to receive the Sacrament of Baptism because of expectations, but rather a true acknowledgement of our family's growth in faith. But you know what? I wouldn't have had it any other way because today felt destined to be the day we witnessed such an amazing moment. It was a beautiful and sunny morning, with Sutton's baptism witnessed by his parents, grandparents and a loving congregation. It was such a blessed moment to dedicate our son to the Lord and commit ourselves to nurturing him through love and faith. Although a private family moment, I wanted to share a collage of the day. Thanks for sharing in our joy! "From the fullness of his grace we have received one blessing after another."
